Deborah Zanke is an accomplished communications professional with a solid background at the senior management level. She has developed effective strategic communication programs resulting in improved relationships between organizations and their stakeholders.
With an eye for newsworthy stories and events, Deborah is adept at media relations, putting organizations front and centre in the public’s eye. Her strong writing and conceptual skills allow her to create annual reports, website content and other promotional items that deliver the right message to the right audience. She is an exceptional presenter and spokesperson and her strong organizational skills mean that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Beginning her career as a child welfare social worker, Deborah has an intimate knowledge of the challenges faced by non-profits and the community members who depend on them. With close to a decade of experience in the communications field, she has held high profile positions with Winnipeg Child and Family Services as well as Marymound, a non-profit agency providing services for youth at risk. She is equally at home in business settings and has demonstrated a keen ability to transfer the skills she has honed in the non-profit sector to the corporate world.
